The Latest Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw under the Express Entry system was held on March 3, 2026
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issuing 4,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residence in the latest CEC Draw. Candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 508 to receive an invitation.
The Canadian Experience Class is one of three federal programs managed through Express Entry. It is designed for individuals who have gained qualifying skilled work experience in Canada and who meet language and other program requirements. CRS scores are calculated based on factors such as age, education, language ability, and skilled work experience, with additional points available in certain circumstances.
IRCC applied a tie-breaking rule of June 24, 2025 at 22:35:48 UTC, meaning candidates with a CRS score of 508 were ranked based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles. Those who submitted profiles before that timestamp were prioritized.
The Canadian Experience Class draw on March 3rd follows a series of recent rounds with similar CRS thresholds. On February 17, 2026, IRCC issued 6,000 ITAs with a cut-off score of 508. Earlier in the year, the January 21, 2026 draw required 509 points, while the January 7, 2026 round had a higher threshold of 511. The latest result confirms that CRS scores for Canadian Experience Class candidates remain clustered in the low 500s.
According to the Express Entry pool distribution snapshot dated March 1, 2026, there were 14,031 candidates in the 501–600 CRS range. This concentration of higher-scoring candidates helps explain why the Canadian Experience Class draw cut-off continues to remain above 500. In addition, 71,680 candidates were listed in the 451–500 range, demonstrating continued competition below the current threshold.
The overall trend since August 2025 has been downward, which is good news for candidates. While the round on March 3rd, 2026, issued fewer invitations than the February 17 draw, the CRS cut-off remained unchanged at 508.
