Terms & Conditions – Booking a Consultation with Forghani Law

By booking a consultation with Forghani Law, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions:

1. Purpose of the Consultation

The consultation will take place by video call or phone. The consultation is designed to allow us to understand your immigration situation, assess your legal options, and determine whether we are a suitable legal representative for your matter. It is also your opportunity to assess whether Forghani Law’s approach aligns with your expectations and needs.

2. No Solicitor – Client Relationship

Booking and attending a consultation does not establish a solicitor-client relationship. A formal solicitor-client relationship will only arise once a written engagement letter has been signed by both parties.

Following the consultation, either you or Forghani Law may choose not to proceed further. Forghani Law reserves the right to decline representation if we believe we are not the appropriate firm to handle your matter.

3. Consultation Fee and Refund Policy

An invoice will be sent to you prior to your consultation and must be paid at the time of your consultation in order for the meeting to take place. A receipt will be provided once the consultation has been completed.

The consultation fee reflects the time, analysis, and legal guidance offered during the session. This fee is non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the consultation.

Please be advised that a consultation does not guarantee eligibility for an immigration program, nor does it ensure that a viable pathway will be identified. The objective of the consultation is to evaluate your circumstances and provide candid, informed advice based on the information you provide.

4. Limited Scope of Legal Advice

During the consultation, we may provide preliminary legal guidance or information, based on the facts you provide. This guidance is not a comprehensive legal opinion and should not be relied upon as a substitute for full legal representation.

5. Confidentiality

All information shared during your consultation will be kept strictly confidential, in accordance with the rules of professional conduct governing lawyers in British Columbia. Your information will remain confidential even if you choose not to retain our services.

6. Booking Confirmation

Your consultation is not confirmed until the consultation fee is paid in full and you receive a confirmation email from Forghani Law. Please ensure your contact information is accurate at the time you request a consultation.

7. Rescheduling and Cancellations

If you need to reschedule your consultation, please notify us by email at least 24 hours in advance. If the consultation is cancelled with sufficient notice, you may request to reschedule at no additional cost, subject to availability.

Forghani Law may also need to reschedule consultations from time to time due to unforeseen circumstances or scheduling conflicts. In such cases, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer alternate appointment times. No refunds will be issued for rescheduled consultations.

If you fail to attend your consultation or cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, the consultation fee will be forfeited. A new booking and payment will be required to schedule another meeting.

8. Right to Decline Service

Forghani Law retains full discretion to decline or terminate the consultation or future representation, including in situations of conflict of interest, misrepresentation, or where we believe we are not the appropriate legal counsel for your matter.

If you have any questions about these terms, please contact our office before proceeding. By continuing with your booking, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
